A stack of elegant, cream-colored envelopes sealed with a deep red wax stamp bearing an ornate “S,” arranged neatly on a polished dark walnut writing desk. Beside them rests a heavy, fountain pen with a gold nib and marbled ink stains on a blotter. In the background, a leather-bound journal embossed with the title “Letters To Zion” lies partially open, its pages filled with graceful handwriting blurred into soft bokeh. Late afternoon golden light pours in from an unseen window, casting long, gentle shadows and a warm glow across the desk. Photographic realism, shot at a slightly elevated angle with a shallow depth of field, creating a sophisticated, intimate atmosphere of legacy and storytelling.

From My Heart, So You Will Always Know

About

I am a person who finds deep joy in writing, reminiscing, and reflecting on life as I have known it. In this season of becoming a grandmother to my first grandchild, I am drawn to a deep desire to gather my stories, my memories, and the quiet lessons learned along the way.

I have chosen to share my stories and experiences through letters. It is such a beautiful art, once cherished and carefully kept, with words folded into envelopes and saved in drawers for years. Over time, with technology taking over, letter writing has been forgotten and gently pushed aside. But there will always be something so special about putting pen to paper and writing from the heart.

As clichéd as it may sound, I am writing letters and then sharing them using modern technology. There is something almost ironic about this. But perhaps that is the beauty of it. A beautiful amalgamation of the past and the present. My way of honouring the old ways of storytelling while embracing the world we live in now.

Through these letters, I simply want to share my journey, my reflections, and the love I carry, to pass on as my legacy to the future generations of our family, in a way that feels personal, lasting, and true to me.

Letters To Zion

This blog records my stories for my first grandchild, a Sinclair joy and delight. May these memories travel with you across every new day, my love.
